I’m rereading the book “The Second Bounce of the Ball: Turning Risk into Opportunity” by Sir Ronald Cohen.
He is the guy who basically pioneer venture capital industry in Europe during the very early days and turn it into multi-billion dollars sector. The book is about entrepreneurship and early-stage enterprise development in general but his story is really useful for those interested to become financial entrepreneurs. Bringing finance to the next level of real economic value generation.
He is also working in social enterprise financing in the UK, propose the government to setup social investment bank leading to the recent setup of The Big Society Bank with over a billion pound fund. He claims that social enterprise is a new asset class.
It’s really a good book, available at bookstore and also on Kindle.
